Food Culture Playdate: Rediscovering Our Lost Foods & Biodiversity
This experience aims to rekindle an appreciation for Rajasthan’s traditional ingredients —many of which are at risk of vanishing — while highlighting the importance of biodiversity in sustaining our food cultures. By the end of the weekend, kids will gain a newfound respect for the foods of their homeland and discover how they can become champions of Rajasthan’s culinary legacy.

Such powerful tools we have to learn about our people, our land, our identity.
I wonder why are we not talking about these in the classroom?
Hi, I am Dipali.
I am a food researcher
and I document the disappearing food cultures of India.
The idea is to preserve our intangible heritage
inspire & mobilise people
and to make this world a kind place for our diverse cultures to thrive.
The only thing that ensures this is —
involving the future generation.
Together with French Embassy in India and Alliance Francaise Jaipur,
I have a put together a short course
to get children started with exploring our food culture & biodiversity.
This is going to be hands on —
making them wonder
and question
and take action.
Stay tuned for more!
