Presentation of Novembre Numérique

Since 2017, the Institut français and the French cultural network abroad organize Novembre
Numérique (Digital November), the international digital cultures festival around the world.
Novembre Numérique (Digital November) is an invitation to question the place of digital
cultures in our societies, to increase the awareness of the general public to the new uses of
digital technologies, while discovering the richness and diversity of digital creations, ranging
from virtual reality to video games, from media art to new forms of digital narratives, from
immersive theater to interactive music, from educational technologies to entrepreneurship,
etc.

Goals and themes of the workshops offered by Maison Tangible

Maison Tangible is a manufacturer of images and graphic objects, founded by Aurélien
Jeanney in 2015 and based in Paris. It’s both a creative studio, a publishing house, and a
creator of augmented reality experiences.Illustration, art direction, motion design. They work
across various mediums to create a colorful, joyful, and geometric universe.
They also promote contemporary illustration through exhibitions, murals, artist residencies,
and workshops.For three years, Maison Tangible operated as an illustration gallery in the
11th arrondissement of Paris. Today, we focus on the creative studio.

Who is Aurélien Jeanney

Aurélien Jeanney is the founder of Maison Tangible and a multidisciplinary art director
and designer.
His work spans a variety of fields and mediums, from graphic design and illustration to animation and typography.
Aurélien’s creative approach focuses on blending disciplines, and his work has earned international recognition, with awards in Canada (Grafika, Numix) and
France (Cannes Lions). His research project on Jules Verne received a grant from the French Ministry of Culture.

Aurélien is deeply committed to merging traditional and digital media, which led him to experiment with augmented reality early in his career. In 2016, he presented an exhibition on Jules Verne’s novels at the Maison d’Ailleurs, a science fiction museum in Yverdon, Switzerland. Since then, he has developed several collections of printed images enhanced with augmented reality.
In 2020, he wrote, illustrated, and animated The Extraordinary Journeys of Axel, a documentary book for children, co-published by Amaterra and Maison
Tangible.His current work includes illustration, augmented reality murals, writing, wooden 3D experiments, and
animated images. A nomadic creative, Aurélien divides his time between his studio in Paris and the countryside, constantly exploring new ways to combine physical and digital experiences.
