Food Culture Playdate: Rediscovering Our Lost Foods & Biodiversity

Food Culture Playdate, curated by The Kindness Meal, is an immersive two-day workshop dedicated to introducing young learners to Rajasthan’s lost foods and disappearing biodiversity. Through engaging storytelling, detective games, and hands-on activities, children will dive into the unique flavors, ancient grains, and native plants of Rajasthan, learning how these once-essential foods shaped the region’s culinary heritage and ecosystem.

This experience aims to rekindle an appreciation for Rajasthan’s traditional ingredients —many of which are at risk of vanishing — while highlighting the importance of biodiversity in sustaining our food cultures. By the end of the weekend, kids will gain a newfound respect for the foods of their homeland and discover how they can become champions of Rajasthan’s culinary legacy.
