SUMMARY:ECHOES – A Heritage Carved in Wood
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, February 14th\, Alliance Française opens the doors of The City Palace Museum (Chota Darikhana) for an unmissable cultural evening. Starting at 6:00 PM\, join us for the grand vernissage of the exhibition “ECHOES – a ceremonial heritage in wood”\, celebrated in the distinguished presence of Shriji Huzur Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur. \nThe guest of honor for this evening is none other than Prof. Philippe Charlier\, a global figure in anthropology and forensic medicine. Dubbed by the international press as the “Indiana Jones of Graveyards\,” Dr. Charlier is famous for authenticating the relics of Joan of Arc\, studying the heart of Richard the Lionheart\, and revealing the secrets of royal favorite Agnès Sorel. His presence in Udaipur offers a unique opportunity to witness the dialogue between Indian royal heritage and French scientific excellence. Do not miss this historic convergence of art\, science\, and tradition. (Entry by invitation only – RSVP required) \n\n\n\n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n \n The Secret Life of Ritual Objects\n \n\n \n \n February 15 @ 10:00 am\n \n \n \n\n \n\nWhat if objects could speak? On Sunday\, February 15th at 10:00 AM\, Rockwoods International School will host a scientific luminary for a captivating session: “The Secret Life of Ritual Objects”. \nProf. Philippe Charlier is no ordinary speaker. As a Director of Research and a renowned forensic pathologist\, he has revolutionized history by using modern science to solve the “cold cases” of the past—from the mystery of King Henri IV to the medical secrets of Robespierre. During this exceptional morning\, he will apply his expert eye to ritual objects to unveil the invisible: their history\, their hidden usage\, and their “magical charge.” This is an incredible chance for students\, history buffs\, and the curious to meet the man who makes the dead and ancient artifacts talk. A live scientific investigation that is simply not to be missed. (Entry by invitation only – RSVP required).

The bodies\, perched on delicate metal poles\, sway gently\, as if moved by an imperceptible breath. Their swaying evokes the reed beds of the Camargue.\nRoZéo does not seek to be a show\, but a deep breath\, a serene dialogue with the landscape\, a move towards the poetics of lightness\, softness and contemplation. RoZéo is what we can discover unexpectedly during a stroll\, what emerges there on the horizon\, those air bodies gently tossed by the breeze\, at times shaken by the wind. \nRegistration\n\n Register \n \n \nGratte Ciel is a company run by Stéphane Girard and Camille Beaumier. In addition to their international agenda and large-format projects\, Gratte Ciel has maintained a line of creations and proposals in situ\, rather local in nature and linked to their social network. SUMMARY:Antichambre
DESCRIPTION:Antichamber Jaipur September 26 Rajasthan International center 7pm \n -> Register \nCreated and performed by Romain Bermond and Jean-Baptiste Maillet \nPROJECT\nAntechamber is an animated film\, a show and an exhibition all at the same time. This manifold production\, bringing together different cultural stakeholders (cinemas\, festivals\, theaters\, museums\, etc.)\, is one more step in the company’s work\, combining disciplines and reaching out to audiences of all cultures and ages\, beyond words\, leaving room for the imagination and poetry. The two artists of STEREOPTIK\, Romain Bermond and Jean-Baptiste Maillet\, expand their artistic research with the production of a short animated film combining cartoon\, stop-motion\, painting\, object theatre and music. In addition to being the making-of of the film\, the show lets the audience discover the company’s creative process. The exhibition supplements these first two proposals\, by taking the audience behind the scenes to discover the research stages\, the preparatory sketches\, the storyboard and even installations made from overlays revealing the principles of frame-by-frame animation or how to create a movement from six or seven drawings. \nPITCH\nLocked away in his room\, a student spends all summer working on his thesis. Lost among his notes\, he finds a photo of himself as a child\, holding a butterfly. And thanks to this photo\, he reconnects with his capacity for observation and the wonder that were buried inside him. He spends his days feeling the wind\, watching the clouds and daydreaming. He flies over the Amazon\, dives into ocean depths\, meets chimerical creatures and falls in love. His imaginary travels\, and his contemplation of his own environment\, sometimes intrigue him\, move him\, and often fill him with wonder\, but above all change him forever. \n\nTechnical Informations\nDownload \n\n \nA STEREOPTIK production\nCreated by Stereoptik \nOrganised by French Embassy in India\, French Institute\, Alliance Française Jaipur\nSupported by TATA\, SANOFI \nRajasthan International Centre
